Cornerstone, in association with Rohan Smith (professional coach) are presenting a workshop for any aspiring athletes on what it takes to be a professional athlete. We will teach you how to THRIVE, not just survive.

    The Coaches

    Rohan 

    Rohan has been around Rugby League his entire life. He grew up playing the game at a high level and its safe to say it's in his blood with his father being a top NRL coach, and his brother the strength & conditioning coach when the Sydney Roosters won the premiership in 2013. 

    Rohan is part of the NRL Coaching Development team who teach other coaches and athletes what it takes to be a top player or coach. He has been the head coach of the London Broncos in the English Super League as well as the Bradford Bulls, worked with NRL on youth development pathways for the Knights, Titans, Warriors and Roosters. He has also worked closely with many U18's & U20s teams in NRL programs. 

    Rohan has an extremely broad knowledge base about the game, what it takes to get to the top, (and stay there) and about life. This unique perspective makes him extremely valuable to any athlete or coach he comes into contact with you want to take their game to the next level. The knowledge he will impart in this workshop will be unlike anything you or your kids will have ever heard, and that knowledge will put them years, maybe a decade ahead of the rest.

    Mick 

    Mick went through the Jets youth system as a junior and played his first game of 1st Grade football at the age of 17. After 150 1st Grade games in the Newcastle State League, numerous appearances in select teams and a continual search to improve himself through strength & conditioning, he began helping others do so. 

    For the past 3yrs, Mick has helped numerous football, rugby league and hockey players eat, train and perform at a higher level. Helping athletes, particularly kids reach their athletic potential and fulfill their dreams is his passion, and hosting workshops is one of the best ways to help impart that knowledge.

    Although I don't think much about how good I feel now, as it's become the norm, the improvements are actually ridiculous. The way I eat, the way I prepare and plan meals and what not, there's no way in a million years I would've even considered it last year! I deadset loved the program! The commitment comes easy when what you're doing is enjoyable, and stimulating.

    It's the best I've felt running around at the start of a season ever. I can change pace when I want and I like that I can still be going full pace towards the back end of games which I couldn't do last season. Haven't had any worries of injuries or anything or sore muscles or anything which is good. I've been playing well, consistently well which is most pleasing and my confidence is high. Stoked.

    It has improved my surfing as a whole. Mostly improved overall balance and range of motion. I find making the drops on waves easier with better balance. Range of motion has made me feel more comfortable on my backhand which I was completely useless at before

    I haven't felt better strength wise prior to a season. My fitness has improved immensely. Each session builds on and improves strength that is vital to a football player!
